Mark Manning

Mark joined Compass in 2023. Mark has spent the past 25 years working in Chadds Ford, PA serving as a financial advisor to high-net-worth clients and their families. During most of that time, he has run his own advisory firm, CapTrust Financial Advisors. Immediately before joining Compass, Mark worked as a financial advisor with Goldman Sachs.

Recognizing that consumers face a bombardment of news feeds, articles, and advertisements from Wall Street, Mark especially enjoys working as an independent financial advocate for clients by listening to their personal situation and then integrating his knowledge and experience to create an investment strategy and planning process that is thorough but comprehensible.

Prior to working in the financial field, Mark served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force for six years as Weather Officer & Instructor for pilot and navigation students in Florida and in California. Mark earned his B.S. in atmospheric sciences from Rutgers University and his M.B.A. in finance from California State University, Sacramento.

Mark and his wife live in Wilmington, Delaware where they raised three children. He is a lifelong tennis enthusiast and a member of the Delaware Tennis Hall of Fame. He also continues to keep his eye on the weather.
