FAMILIES ARE CHRONICALLY UNDER-INSURED

When it comes to life insurance, most couples (under age 55) are under-insured. Not because they don’t care about their family, but because talking about mortality is uncomfortable.

The $1M life insurance policy isn’t the protection it once was. Inflation related to wages, housing, childcare, college costs, and living expenses demand proper income protection through life insurance. Our planning conversation considers both the need and the cost. A few variables to determine adequate coverage:

  • Career Earnings Potential:
    • 28-year-old earning $165k could earn $10.9M+ over their career.
    • 37-year-old earning $275k/A could earn $11.8M+ over their career.
    • 49-year-old earning $450k/A could earn $8.5M+ over their career.*These estimates assume 3% COLA and retirement at age65
  • Cover education for all kids
  • Payoff mortgage(s) and debts

How long has it been since you’ve looked at your insurance strategy? If you can’t remember, we should talk.

MONEY AS A SOCIAL LIABILITY?: This brief video is thought provoking. What can we learn at the intersection of history, spending, and the pursuit of happiness? Let us know what you think. “I think there’s an ideal net worth for everyone when money not only stops bringing pleasure but becomes a social liability.” Maybe Morgan is right? Maybe he’s wrong?

LOOKING BACK: History shows the top 10 companies in the S&P 500 rarely stay there forever. Only one of the companies from 2005 is still on the list 20 years later, and less than half of the companies from 10 years ago remain.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED?:

HOW CAN WE HELP?: We have the capacity to serve more entrepreneurs, retirees, and families throughout the US. If you know someone who would benefit from our advice and planning—please forward this email to them and encourage them to email us for a brief intro conversation.
